How to Apply for Permanent Residence (PR)

If you are thinking of applying for PR, here is the step-by-step procedure.

Eligibility

The following categories of foreigners are eligible to apply for PR:

* Spouse and unmarried children (below 21 years old) of a Singapore Citizen/Permanent Resident
* Aged parents of a Singapore Citizen
* S pass holders
* Investors/Entrepreneurs

Documents Required

For Spouse/Child of a Singapore Citizen/Permanent Resident
- Form 4
- Accompanying Notes to Form 4. (This will list the supporting documents that will have to be submitted together with your application.)

Aged parents of a Singapore Citizen
- Form 4
- Accompanying Notes to Form 4. (This will list the supporting documents that will have to be submitted together with your application.)

S pass holders
- 2 sets of Form 4A
- Accompanying Notes to Form 4. (This will list the supporting documents that will have to be submitted together with your application.)

Procedure

(1) Make an appointment through the Electronic Appointment Booking System (e-Appointment)
(2) After getting an appointment, submit the completed application form together with all the required documents in person to (on the day of appointment):
Permanent Resident Services Centre
5th Storey, ICA Building
10 Kallang Road
(Next to Lavender MRT station)
Singapore 208718

Fees

Entry permit: S$100
Re-Entry Permit: S$10 per year
Visa Fee: $30 per issue (for foreigners requiring a visa)
Please make payment by NETS or Cashcard.

Processing Time

Average of 3 months. Applicants will be informed of the outcome by mail.

Peak Periods To Avoid

* Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays, and on the days before and after public holidays.
* 8am to 9am on weekdays

(There will be limited Queue tickets issued on Saturdays.)
